The University Grants Commission (UGC) had launched a scheme on 27 February, 2014 for skills development based higher education as part of college/university education, leading to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) degree.
Common Degree against BVOC
One of the biggest advantages of pursuing B.VOC against common degree courses is that you will have completed a degree and a professional qualification (like LLB, MBBS, BDS, Nursing or Engineering) by the time your peers complete just a degree course.
The course is different from traditional academic programmes as it deals more with application-based studies rather than focusing on only theoretical knowledge.
Structure of BVOC
B.VOC undergraduate Degree course of three years duration further mapped & divided as per National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
The curriculum is made in such a way that it is work-integrated and to keep at par with the industry requirements.
