Ismail started his career as a Customer Service Executive in a MNC BPO after his PUC. Being an avid learner and hard working person he excelled in his job for next one and half years. His stability for last one and the half years and his willingness to help his colleagues made his organization more than willing to promote him as a Trainer. Other companies wanted to hire him as a Team Leader. However, his biggest impediment being his non-completion of his degree. He had two options before him 1. Start over and slog for next three years, which was not much of an option. 2. Resort to illegal means of "getting a degree" by paying money, however, his values stopped him from doing it. Also, he knew such Universities gets busted or blacklisted over a period of time. At this juncture of time he heard about Abdul Kalam Community College. He learnt about his rights of RPL (Recognition of prior learning) and ODES (On Demand Examination System), which helped him in saving on months together in his degree instead of waiting for 3 years. Interestingly, the learning path he walked was also easy as he mostly learnt what he was already doing at his work, the skills he required for the next level. Soon after completing his B.Com. From a UGC Recognized University he was promoted as a Trainer in his organization.
